Acadia kennels are promoters of American Bulldogs, Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds. Our venue of choice is the sport of Schutzhund. We have been training and competing in Schutzhund since 1993.
Max von Stephanitz, the creator of the German Shepherd Dog, believed that "The most striking features of the correctly bred German Shepherd are firmness of nerves, attentiveness, unshockability, tractability, watchfulness, reliability and incorruptibility together with courage, fighting tenacity, and hardness”.
The above statement is something that we believe to be true and strive to showcase those traits in all of our working dogs, regardless of breed.
